Members of the John E. Jacobs American Legion Post 68 thank the greater Leland community for their outstanding support of the second annual “Tee it Up for Veterans” golf tournament held on November 7th at Magnolia Greens Golf Course, Leland. Despite the overcast and rainy conditions, the support provided by golfers, volunteers, and members was terrific. Net proceeds exceeded those from last year’s event. These funds allow the Post to aid local Veterans and their families, conduct programs for students in local schools, support the local JROTC, participate in Wreaths Across America, and provide disaster relief, as recently undertaken in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. This event would not have been possible without the generosity of this community, and for that, the Legion is enormously grateful!
