On July 18, 2024, the Waterford Community Social Committee, led by resident Lisa Bryant, presented a donation of $261 to express the community’s appreciation for and recognition of the role that members of the John E. Jacobs American Legion Post 68 Leland have played in serving area veterans and families. Newly installed Post Commander Bea Frost and 1st Vice Commander John Hacker accepted the donation on behalf of the Post.
