Every year, the Navy and USCG select senior enlisted members to be promoted to the rank of Chief (E-7).  As part of the “initiation or induction” process, they perform “work” at local organizations, normally affiliated with the military in some way.  As part of that process, people who are or have been Chiefs chew the fat, trade stories, sign “charge books”, etc.  It is part of the process to learn how to lead others.   Other Chiefs who have been thru this “initiation” know about the process.       

The USS NC Battleship has two events coming up – one with USCG Chief-Selectees on 18 May and one with USN Chief-Selectees on 17-18 Sep.

We are in search of any local prior Navy and Coast Guard chiefs who might like to participate in these events. We are reaching out to various military and social service organizations to see if anyone in those groups might be interested?  If so, please contact Mike Bowers @ michaelhbowers@gmail.com.
