PROPER DISPOSAL OF UNUSABLE AMERICAN FLAGS
Is your flag faded, torn, frayed, or otherwise unsuitable for public display? Let the John E.
Jacobs American Legion Post 68 properly handle its disposal following the guidelines
established in Title 4, U.S. Code, Chapter 1. Flag disposal boxes are conveniently located
throughout the Leland community and regularly emptied
by Post 68. Locations include:
Lowe’s Home Improvement, 3716 Gateway Blvd (near
the Exit door and checkout counters),
Ace Hardware, 117 B, Village Rd NE, and
Brunswick Forest Fitness and Wellness Center (main
lobby area), 2701 Brunswick Forest Parkway.
Potential future locations being researched include the
Magnolia Greens and Waterford communities. To learn
