The 2024 “Tee it Up for Veterans” Golf Tournament hosted by Leland’s John E. Jacobs American Legion Post 68 at Magnolia Greens Golf Course was a huge success due to outstanding support from the greater Leland community! These funds enabled the Post to support local veterans and their families, conduct programs for students in local schools, award scholarships, assist the local JROTC, participate in Wreaths Across America, and provide disaster relief in response to flooding in the local area and western North Carolina.
Last year’s event, with 176 participating golfers, sold out in 10 days! Returning golfers will have the opportunity to sign up in May, with open registration beginning on June 1, 2025. The tournament will once again be held at Magnolia Greens Golf Course on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Post 68 hopes to duplicate, if not exceed, last year’s success in participation and sponsorships. As such, the Post is actively recruiting sponsors for its 2025 “Tee it Up for Veterans” tournament. Sponsorship levels include (but are not limited to) Gold Sponsors ($1,100), Hole-in-One Sponsors ($600+), Honor a Veteran Hole Sponsors ($540), Lunch Sponsors ($500), Hole Sponsors ($290), Goody Bag Sponsors ($290), Breakfast Sponsors ($120), and more.
