CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NBHS JROTC AIR RIFLE TEAM

Following their January 2025 First-Place win at the 4th Brigade Air Rifle Best of the Best Championship in Hickory, N.C., the North Brunswick High School (NBHS) JROTC Rifle Team dominated the JROTC South Region Air Rifle Service Championship in Anniston, Alabama, in early February. With over 300 Cadets competing in the weekend competition, NBHS JROTC fielded three teams and won First Place (Gold), Second Place (Silver), and Eighth Place. The wins secured the First and Second teams an invitation to the National competition to be held in March 2025, in Clinton, Ohio. Congratulations to each Cadet for their hard work, dedication, and well-deserved success!
The First team, consisting of Valeria Alvarado, Lizeth Dominguez, Miguel Gonzalez, and Ilene Rodriguez, exhibited incredible skill and teamwork with a total score of 4,297. The Second team, consisting of Tiffany Martinez, Chelsea Saunders, Juilen Seda, and Alyssa Harris, put up an incredible fight, shooting 4,294 – only three points behind the First Team to secure the Silver Medal. With grit and determination, the third team of Malasia Simmons, Jeslit Bailey-Garcia, Logan Sham, and Adrian Dexiga achieved a respectable score of 4,150, thus securing an Eighth-Place finish.
