NC Patriot Guard Riders recognizes AL Post #68 for assistance to area veterans!

At the John E. Jacobs American Legion Post #68 Leland meeting Thursday evening, January 19th, Bob Page, representing Patriot Guard Riders, presented a donation to Post 68 to help support area veterans. Mr. Page stated this donation was recognition for Post #68’s efforts in assisting local veterans. The donation was a check for $250 which will be used to directly support veteran needs.

A letter from the North Carolina Patriot Guard Riders (NCPGR) treasurer was read:

“American Legion Post 68: The Patriot Guard of NC would like to donate this $250 to you for your dedication to our veterans and especially for your extensive suicide hot line program.  Thank you again for everything you do. Sincerely, Paula Schronce, NCPG State Treasurer”

The John E. Jacobs American Legion Post #68 Commander Hacker stated that, “we are honored to receive the recognition, donation and support from the NCPGR veteran organization.” Commander Hacker and Post #68 are leading a new suicide awareness program for veterans in our area. The Commander has made several presentations to civic and business organizations in the North Brunswick County area.
