From: John Hacker, Post Commander: John E. Jacobs American Legion Post 68 Leland, NC
As the year ends and a New Year begins, we at John E. Jacobs American Legion Post 68 must not rest until our fellow Veterans receive the recognition, benefits, and services that we have all rightly deserved and earned through our service and sacrifice.
No veteran should ever be homeless, contemplating suicide, or left alone to cope with the effects of PTSD or brain injury (TBI), or substance abuse.
Our veterans should have access to healthcare services.
It takes teamwork. Our Team, all 250 members!
We will continue to help our fellow veterans from suffering social or judicial injustices and not leave them in the dark when it comes to heritable health conditions caused by service-related toxic exposures.
There is much we can do with our fundraising programs and service work with local services in Brunswick County.
It’s all about ATTITUDE!
I hope I can count on you to stay the course with us.
Happy Holidays and a Great New Year to all.
